Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority at Churchill Health Centre is seeking a casual Dietary - CR role in the in-person unit. The position involves hospital dietary duties with 12.00 hours per day and a 2080 annual base hours schedule, starting ASAP.

Ideal candidates will have prior hospital and dietary/food service experience, Grade 12 or equivalent, and a Food Handler’s Certificate, with WHMIS certification as a plus. The role requires physical stamina and safety awareness.

Position Overview

Experience

• Previous experience working in a hospital setting.
• Previous experience in a dietary/food service setting.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a recognized food preparation program.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Food Handler’s Certificate.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Knowledge and/or certification in WHMIS.

Physical Requirements

• Bending and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Use of sharp tools such as knives and industrial equipment.
• Long periods of time standing during each shift.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
