Job description

Hotel Arts is currently looking for a Cook 3 in our Banquets Kitchen at Hotel Arts. We are seeking a candidate who can consistently deliver quality and efficient production on a daily basis in an organized manner. This cook will primarily work alongside the Banquet Sous Chef to provide excellent culinary service during banquets and events.

The ideal candidate will possess the following traits:

  • A strong interest in food and the culinary arts
  • The ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards consistently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility in adapting to different environments
  • Ensuring all menu items are prepared efficiently and to customer requirements
  • Completing mise en place in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all food products
  • Adhering to provincial health regulations and food handling techniques
  • Keeping a clean and organized work area
  • Being mindful of food cost, portion control, and waste management

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Journeyman certification or working towards Red Seal certification
  • Availability for dinner/evening shifts
  • A flexible weekly schedule
