About the Opportunity

• Plans and prepares meals according to established standards, procedures, recipes, and menus, including preparing special meals to meet therapeutic menu modifications according to guidelines
• Assists with preparation of food for special functions (e.g., catering, theme dinners) to ensure service meets standards
• Reports recipe shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to the Executive Chef or supervisor promptly
• Clean and sanitize cooking stations daily; maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, kettles, mixers, etc., to meet safety and sanitation standards; responsible for proper labeling of excess food
• Follows disposal procedures according to waste management guidelines for organics, paper, plastics, cans/bottles, non-recyclable materials, etc.

About You

In addition to valuing continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring :

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least one year of cooking experience
• Ability to read and follow detailed recipes/instructions and communicate effectively in a team setting
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record check
• A passion for healthcare and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
