Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Toronto is seeking a friendly Cook to craft nutritious, flavorful meals for residents, following our menu guidelines.

You will prepare, cook and plate meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and work with team to ensure on-time service. Familiarity with public health guidelines and a Food Handler certification are required. This role offers growth and a supportive environment.

Your culinary skills and attention to detail will help foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere where food is both nourishing and enjoyable.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, cook and plate food following Chartwell menu guidelines
• Comply with all public health regulations and safe food handling guidelines
• Maintain food preparation areas and equipment in a sanitary condition
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and at the correct temperature
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies

What You’ll Bring

• Wear personal protective equipment as required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry heavy items
