Under the supervision of the Chef, the Cook will be responsible for the overall production, preparation, and presentation of food items to be served.

YOUR ROLE
- Cook and prepare necessary food items as directed, adhering to Health and Safety standards, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Have strong knowledge of food terminology, cooking/preparation methods, and general food handling.
- Follow standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and meet all standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, following proper operating procedures.
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Handle, store, prepare, and serve food products safely, complying with hotel and government Food Safety guidelines.
- Report any deficiencies in kitchen equipment or food quality.
- Maintain food quality and minimize wastage during preparation.
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
- Adhere to environmental policies and programs as required.
- Perform various other tasks as assigned by the Chef.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and multitask.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions on the fly, and show initiative.
- Capable of performing well under pressure.
- Ability to lift/carry/push supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Experience in multiple hotel kitchen departments is an asset.
- Must possess a Certified Food Handlers certificate and a degree/diploma in culinary skills.
