Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. in Ontario is hiring team members to bring our fresh food experience to life, combining passion for exceptional customer service with hands-on food preparation at the counter. • Post-secondary culinary program with up to 1 year in food-service.

• Comfort with fast-paced environment and physical work including standing and lifting.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluent in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, customer service reflecting Farm Boy standards.
• Welcome and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards.
• Prepare and cook fresh offerings for hot/cold bar, grill, and service cases.
• Package, stock, rotate, and merchandise counters and shelves with accurate signage.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work and storage areas including housekeeping.
• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and equipment use policies.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and support teammates.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards while sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our products.
• Prepare and cook fresh offerings for our hot and cold bar, grill station, and service cases, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Package, stock, rotate, and merchandise display counters and shelves, maintaining high product standards and accurate signage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures with particular focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP compliance, and proper equipment use.
• Complete designated opening and closing procedures and provide support to fellow Team Members as needed.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in culinary arts, plus up to one year of experience in a culinary or food-service environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• The ability to work independently while taking pride in exceptional quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness standards.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
