Aramark is hiring for the Manic-5 Food Service Operation, seeking First Cook and Third Cook positions. The role includes a rotating schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off, with meals provided and private accommodation.

Employment may involve a remote camp environment, with a transportation allowance and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges from $22.41 to $26.26 per hour, depending on the position.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
• Strong culinary knowledge and skills are considered an asset.
• Experience working in a remote camp environment is considered an asset.
• MAPAQ certification is considered an asset.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety programs.
• Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food items in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Prepare the daily menu.
• Manage kitchen operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and ordering supplies as required.
• Respond effectively to operational needs and adapt to service priorities.
• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning and maintaining the workstation.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete and successfully pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector check (if required by the operation).
