Job summary

IAMGOLD’s Côte Gold Mine in Ontario is seeking a Conveyor Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and conveyor systems, reporting to the Millwright Supervisor. You will help ensure reliable mine and mill operations and equipment uptime.

The role requires a college diploma in Industrial Mechanics, a Millwright certification, and 5 years of experience in mining or mineral processing; open pit experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Industrial Mechanics (Millwright) or a related discipline.
• Valid Ontario Provincial or Interprovincial Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification preferred.
• Apprentices will be considered based on business requirements and applicable legislative guidelines.
• CWB All-Position Welding Certification is considered an asset.
• A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Previous experience in open pit mining or mineral processing (specifically gold processing) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and conveyor systems, including pulleys, belts, drives, and related components.
• Perform belt splicing, pulley lagging, and preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, inspections, and component replacements.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on mill and mine equipment.
• Operate lifting and hoisting equipment safely and effectively to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals to perform work accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders, document maintenance activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate shift activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure clear communication through detailed log entries.
• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, applying risk-based decision-making, contributing to site reliability goals, and supporting continuous improvement through ongoing learning and knowledge sharing.

We\u2019re actively searching for a Conveyor Technician to join the C\u00c3\u00b4te Gold team, with a start date to be determined, reporting to the Millwright Supervisor. • Experience using CMMS systems and basic computer applications to manage work orders, track maintenance, and support operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and effective communication, with the ability to work independently or under pressure; valid Ontario driver\'s license required.

Salary Range: $89,000-$133,500 + bonus.
