Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation seeks a Controls Systems Technician to join the airport baggage handling controls team. You will participate in electrical/controls work for baggage systems, with installations, commissioning, debugging, testing and ongoing support.

You will collaborate with experienced controls engineers, explore engineering concepts, and pursue career growth within a market-leading automation environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in automation/electrical engineering; PLC experience preferred.
• Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs and industrial networks Profinet/Profibus.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work on-site at airports.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites.
• Installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
• Perform control system and software changes; create and modify system specifications and operating procedures.
• Program, troubleshoot, and repair sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters and encoders.
• Participate in testing and commissioning efforts at major airports.
• Support proposals and customer inquiries.
• Meet timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.
• Build engineering and design skillsets where possible.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to raise and solve issues and outages.
