Position Description

TREW is a provider of Automated Equipment, Control Systems and Warehouse Execution Software. As a Controls Engineer II, you will design and implement electrical controls systems for automated material handling equipment. This work involves developing specifications, reviewing electrical drawings, and creating PLC/PAC logic. Design and testing will be conducted in the office, with installation and testing at client sites.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong technical background in electrical and controls systems
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, with strong initiative
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, RSLogix/Studio 5000
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMI, and industrial networks
  • Ability to read schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting
Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electrical control systems for automation projects
  2. Create and review electrical drawings and PLC programs
  3. Conduct in-house and onsite testing and commissioning
  4. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
  5. Provide customer training and support post-project
  6. Maintain project documentation and schedules
  7. Lead small to medium projects and support larger projects
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in designing industrial controls systems
  • Experience with material handling equipment controls is a plus
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in warehouse/construction environments and travel domestically and abroad (30-50%)
  • Physical ability to work in challenging environments and adhere to safety protocols
