Controls Engineer

Our well-known manufacturing client in Alliston, ON is looking for a Controls Engineer expert to add to their Electrical Engineering team. Our client is making history for its manufacturing brand by building new facilities that will be the flagship for the company! This is a permanent fulltime basis onsite!

My client is in need of someone with 5+ years of experience with designing SCADA systems, updating control systems, and maintaining Building Automation Controls Systems (setup, programming, and commissioning) to support the start-up of the Smart Factory system.

They offer $95-110K salary, paid overtime, pension-matching (up to 6%), bonuses, benefits, and vacation.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and commission SCADA systems
2. Design and maintain electrical control systems (building automation, HVAC, and smart factory technology); electrical control circuit design
3. Integrate mechanical systems to centralized BAS
4. Set up, update, program, commission, and troubleshoot control systems
5. Work on digital transformation projects
6. Implement energy improvements

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
2. 5+ years of experience in BAS (building automation and systems)
3. Solid hands-on experience with SCADA systems (design + implementation)
4. PLC programming and networking systems; networking hardware and protocols
5. Knowledge of HVAC control systems and smart factory technology
6. Experience with Johnson Controls BMS and Andover Controls BMS
7. Metering of utilities including electricity, NG, compressed air, and water
