Responsible for integrating, installing, testing, and providing training and support (both remote and on-site) for various automated coding and printing systems. Install, set up, and troubleshoot automated grade marking, coding, and printing systems. Actively participate in tests according to customer project specifications using hand tools, power tools, or precision instruments. Perform project quality control checkout procedures and troubleshoot any issues identified. Provide customer training upon completion of on-site commissioning. Demonstrate the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and application issues on industrial machine lines. Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist, Trades certification or College equivalent Ability to travel to client sites int the US and throughout Quebec and Ontario 25-30%. At least 5 years of experience in automation within manufacturing / industrial. Knowledge of industrial networking to integrate systems into customer processes and communication protocols. Must have practical working experience in PLC Programming Logic (Allen Bradley). Experience with customer service in the field and over the phone. Strong knowledge of electrical assembly, pneumatics, and PLCs. Good understanding of technical parts, machines, and electrical schematics. Experience with inkjet coding and lumber grade marking systems is a significant asset. These competencies are what we require for an individual to be successful in this role.
