Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Oversee all accounting functions, including payables, receivables, payroll, and compliance.
- Develop accurate financial reports, forecasts, and key performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships to support healthy operations and growth.
- Operational Management
- Lead the daily operations of a business, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
- Partner with the leadership team to optimize workflows, inventory management, and customer service.
- Identify and implement technology and process improvements to drive operational performance.
- Business Development & Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, negotiating contracts and pricing with confidence.
- Monitor market opportunities to maximize business utilization and drive revenue growth.
- Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Oversee staffing, performance management, and employee engagement to minimize turnover and support team success.
- Strategic Contribution
- Act as a trusted advisor to ownership, providing insights and recommendations that shape strategy.
- Drive key projects and initiatives that position the business for sustainable, long-term growth.
Requirements
- CPA designation or equivalent financial expertise preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and operations, ideally in small to medium business or entrepreneurial settings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple functional areas, including accounting, operations, IT, and HR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, resourceful approach.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
