Controller | Mission Driven Organization

Vaco is partnering with a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization in search of a hands-on Controller to oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled at managing multiple priorities with accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage AP/AR, including client billing, collections, and vendor payments (staff of 2)
2. Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
3. Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and track expenses
4. Act as a back-up for payroll, ensure tax compliance, and manage employee payroll records
5. Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide KPI insights to leadership
6. Assist with year-end filings (e.g., 1099s) and ensure regulatory compliance
7. Participate in internal audits and corrective action planning
8. Preferred experience with (but not required) QuickBooks Online, ADP Payroll, Excel, and CRM integration
9. Drive collections, ensure timely payments, and maintain strong financial health
