Job description

Job Description

Are you ready to take the driver’s seat in your accounting career? At Go Auto, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to elevate our dealership’s financial performance. If you're solution-focused, driven, and ready to lead with impact, this could be your next big move.

As a Controller at Go Auto, you’ll play a key role in leading the dealership’s accounting function — overseeing monthly financials, managing budgets, supporting audits, and partnering with department heads to drive profitability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, efficiency, and results.

Primary Duties

  • Lead the Financial Process: Own the preparation of monthly financial statements, budgets, and year-end audit support to ensure precision, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Build Strong Controls: Strengthen internal controls, develop and implement accounting policies, and streamline financial procedures.
  • Strategic Partner: Provide financial insights and recommendations that drive departmental performance and overall profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with leadership and operations teams to align financial goals with business strategy
  • Support Your Team: A beacon of trustworthiness and a happy-to-help attitude, you thrive in a collaborative environment. Your teammates can always count on you to go the extra mile, ensuring a supportive and cohesive team dynamic.

Requirements:

  • Experience helps, Attitude is Everything: Whether you're a seasoned dealership controller, a recent CPA graduate, currently in a support role and ready to grow, or looking to break into the automotive industry, we want to hear from you. Our team is made up of diverse backgrounds and we welcome all levels of experience.
  • Accounting Expertise: You have a solid foundation in general accounting functions, and your attention to detail is second to none.
  • Excel Proficiency: You're no stranger to Excel. You thrive on manipulating spreadsheets, and financial modeling is your jam.
  • Tech-Friendly: Familiarity with VBA, Access, or Power BI would be advantageous, but don't worry if you haven't had hands-on experience with these tools just yet. We'll provide the training and resources you need to excel
  • Analytical Thinker: Strategic thinking is in your DNA. You're excited to contribute innovative ideas and strategies to boost profitability and drive success in the dealership.
  • Leadership Qualities: You’re dependable, adaptable, and capable of leading and supporting your team.

Here’s what’s in it for you:

  • A Supportive Culture: We value your expertise and recognize the value you bring with your experience. Join our team and enjoy a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your ideas are heard and appreciated.
  • Competitive Compensation: Your knowledge, skills, and leadership deserve to be rewarded. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your impact.
  • Professional Development: We're committed to your growth and development as a professional. As a Controller at Go Auto, you'll have access to ongoing training and opportunities to expand your skill set.
  • Work-Life Balance: We understand that achieving balance is crucial for success. With generous vacation time, you'll have the opportunity to recharge and enjoy your personal life.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Your well-being is important to us. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health care, dental coverage, and a health spending account to support your overall well-being.
  • Making an Impact: We believe in making a positive difference in our community. Each year, we contribute to causes such as the Kids with Cancer Society and Go Auto Fuels the Schools. Join us and be part of our giving back initiatives.
  • Career Growth: We're invested in your long-term success. At Go Auto, you'll have ample opportunities for career growth and advancement, allowing you to reach new heights in your professional journey.

At Go Auto, we're committed to building more than just a job; we're building a fulfilling career path. During your interview, don't hesitate to ask us about the success stories of others who have thrived in their roles within our organization.
