Job description

Ready to take the lead where strategy meets operations?

Country Ribbon Inc . – Newfoundland and Labrador’s only fully integrated poultry producer—is on the hunt for a forward-thinking, results-driven Controller to join its leadership team in St. John’s. This is more than just a numbers job—it’s a rare opportunity to shape the future of Finance and IT within a vital, locally rooted company that feeds the province and fuels its economy.

As Controller, you’ll be a key contributor at the senior leadership table—someone who brings confidence, clarity, and sound financial thinking to organizational decision-making. You’ll take ownership of financial processes and systems, support long-term planning, and help steer the company through growth and transformation.

This isn’t a role where you sit on the sidelines—your ability to move between strategic priorities and hands-on work is what will set you apart. Whether you’re diving into the numbers, collaborating across departments, or navigating systems integrations, this role offers both variety and impact.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally in manufacturing, food production, or a related sector
  • A CPA designation and a strong foundation in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Comfort and capability working closely with IT systems and understanding their business impact
  • A data-driven mindset with experience developing meaningful metrics and KPIs to drive financial performance, accountability, and operational efficiency across the organization
  • A genuine interest in taking on a broad portfolio and helping a local company continue to grow

Why Join Country Ribbon?

  • Be part of a longstanding, locally rooted organization with a strong reputation in Atlantic Canada
  • Take on a visible and valued role with influence across Finance and IT
  • Work in a collaborative culture that values transparency and accountability
  • Live and work in vibrant St. John’s, with the opportunity to contribute to a company that feeds communities across the province
