THE COMPANY :

Since 1999, Oxford Pallet & Recyclers Ltd. has been a leading supplier of quality pallets to a wide variety of customers. We strive to provide clean, quality products, excellent lead times, and professional customer service. We are a manufacturing company based in Norwich, Ontario. Our specialty lies in both recycling and building new pallets and other wooden products. Our 54,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is equipped to meet your pallet needs now and long into the future.

THE POSITION : CONTROLLER - Chief Financial Officer

Work Hours : 8 a.m. – 4 :30 p.m. (Monday – Friday) ON-SITE

Support: Management team to guide strategic financial decisions.

Develop: Implement strategies to optimize financial performance and growth.

Manage: Budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.

Advise: Implement and maintain system improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting.

Collaborate: With senior management and other departments to increase financial understanding.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee month end process and day to day operations of the finance/accounting department.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends and risks.
  • Assist and back-up when necessary, with payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping or other compliance related duties when needed.
  • Select and implement policies, practices, controls and procedures that furthers efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee financial reporting and accounting records, to ensure accuracy and compliance with group standards, policies, government regulations/legislation and remittances.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • MUST HAVE: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • MUST HAVE: 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, risk management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Relatable strong experience with financial reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • QuickBooks Desktop and Online experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel skills required
