Job Details

A large, diversified agricultural company is seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented Controller to manage accounting functions for multiple business entities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide accurate accounting and financial information to owners and lenders.
• Oversee all accounting functions and manage a team of approximately 4 staff members.
• Ensure accuracy and productivity in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Flow, Accrual & Cost accounting, and Financial Statements.
• Implement internal controls and maintain systems to verify the integrity of all processes and data.
• Prepare and send information to financial institutions and create annual work papers for audits and tax returns.
• Collaborate with owners and managers to complete annual budgets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven accounting experience at a Controller level with staff management responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred, but relevant work experience is prioritized.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (preferably FAMOUS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple tasks.
• Experience in agriculture with an emphasis on permanent and row crops preferred but not required.
