Controller - Woodstock, ON

  • Fulltime / Perm
  • Location: Woodstock, ON - fully in office!
  • Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Duties
Key Responsibilities:
Core Accounting Responsibilities
  • Oversee Accounting and Finance Operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll Transactions
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, including supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure integrity of financial data in alignment.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and other key financial components.
  • Lead weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Audit readiness
  • Oversee Budgeting & Forecasting processes
  • Drive System & Process Improvement initiatives
  • Manage Project Accounting
  • Foster Collaboration & Business Support
Required Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and CPA or CMA designation is required
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of ASPE, project-based accounting, and multi-entity financial structures
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex reconciliations
