You will own the financial engine of the business, strengthen our financial operating systems, improve reporting and visibility, and help our leadership team make data-informed and timely decisions with greater confidence.

You will be reporting to the Studio President. You will work closely with our President and VP Operations, who will retain ultimate accountability for business performance while relying on you to manage, improve, and continuously evolve the systems and processes that support it.

Who You Are

You are an entrepreneurial operator who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and turning data into practical business insight. You are equally comfortable reconciling an account, mapping a workflow, building a dashboard, implementing a new tool, or helping a leader understand the story behind the data. You thrive in growing organizations where people wear multiple hats, where initiative is valued, and where better systems create more space for great work.

You have:
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting, with time in a senior or leadership capacity
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards (ASPE), internal controls, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of project-based and utilization-driven business models

  • Ability to evaluate tools, improve workflows, and turn fragmented information into reliable reporting
  • Advanced reporting capabilities
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences

A CPA (or equivalent) designation is strongly preferred. Bonus points if you also have experience with:
