Pacifica Hospital of the Valley is seeking a Controller to lead accounting practices and maintain fiscal records in accordance with GAAP. The role sits on the organization's leadership team and focuses on establishing strong accounting systems and controls.

Responsibilities include coordinating external audits, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with management on budgets. The successful candidate will have a CPA license, healthcare experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualificações

• Five (5) years of experience as a Controller or equivalent.
• CPA License or licensing in-process preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (medium to advanced).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff coaching ability.

As part of the organization's leadership team, the CONTROLLER is responsible for the accounting practices and maintenance of fiscal/accounting records and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Establishes policies, procedures and programs to ensure effective accounting systems
• Monitors preparation of statistical reports and financial statements
• Coordination of external financial and regulatory audits
• Collaborates with other members of management on financial and budgetary matters
• Assist with the implementation of internal controls
• Oversee and monitor federal, state and local compliance

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Five (5) years as a Controller or equivalent, ready for advancement
• CPA License or licensing in-process preferred
• Solid understand GAAP
• Health care industry experience
• Medium to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate staff to achieve desired end results.
