Join Our Client in the Medical Services Sector as Controller

We are seeking a Controller for our dynamic and rapidly expanding client in the medical services sector. This role involves overall financial management and operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and leading acquisitions and reporting system integrations.

This is a permanent remote position based in New Brunswick, with regular in-person meetings in the Saint John area. If you possess both strategic and hands-on skills and take pride in driving financial success, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set and update finance and accounting objectives to align with company strategy.
2. Identify key financial trends and suggest risk mitigation strategies.
3. Manage capital planning, investments, and budgets.
4. Oversee daily accounting tasks such as billing, collections, payroll, and inventory.
5. Prepare and review monthly financial statements.
6. Prepare cash flow projections.
7. Oversee banking, treasury, and covenant reporting.
8. Ensure compliance with government, tax, and legal requirements.
9. Establish internal controls for accurate financial reporting.
10. Build and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, consultants, and private equity partners.
11. Perform other ad hoc duties and projects as required.

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 7-8 years of progressive accounting experience, especially in financial reporting and consolidations within an acquisition-based environment.
• Public accounting experience, ideally with a Big4 firm, is a significant asset.
• Passion for working in an entrepreneurial environment and contributing to company growth.
• Strong analytical, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to collaborate across all levels.
• Driven, proactive, and capable of meeting deadlines.
