About you:

You are a strategic yet hands-on accounting leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments. You bring deep expertise in US GAAP financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and cost accounting - paired with the ability to lead, mentor, and execute. You’re as comfortable building scalable financial systems as you are rolling up your sleeves to close the books, and you value accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. With a proven track record in manufacturing, medical devices, or technology, you’re ready to help shape the financial foundation of a company that’s redefining healthcare diagnostics.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead US GAAP-compliant financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for all Vital entities.

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and fixed asset tracking.

  • Oversee month-end close, quarterly consolidations, and annual financial statements.

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance processes.

  • Partner with the Head of Finance and senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.

  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting (Canada and US).

  • Drive ERP and financial system implementations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Mentor and grow the accounting team, fostering a high-performance, high-trust culture.

What you’ll need:

  • CPA designation and degree in Accounting or Finance (CMA/CA/CGA)

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a Controller or equivalent leadership role.

  • Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, or high-growth technology companies is an asset.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under US GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with inventory, cost accounting, and multi-entity consolidations.

  • Proven ability to implement and improve ERP/accounting systems.

  • A strategic mindset paired with a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a scaling environment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Why join us:
