Our client is currently seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to lead the organization’s day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Tax & Compliance: Manage all tax filings (HST, payroll, corporate) and maintain full regulatory compliance.
  • Accounts & Payroll: Administer accounts payable and receivable and ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Internal Controls: Enhance and enforce financial controls to safeguard assets and uphold compliance standards.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial operations and workflows.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • CPA designation and a strong foundation in accounting and finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience
  • Recognized for analytical thinking, accuracy, and performance under pressure
  • Skilled in leading small teams and driving results
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting systems (ERP knowledge considered an asset)
