Job description

Join to apply for the Controller role at Pomerleau.

As a Controller within Pomerleau's accounting team, you will plan, direct, and coordinate operational functions related to subsidiary accounting and financial compliance for large-scale construction projects, ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.

What You Will Do
  1. Coordinate and oversee the entire accounting cycle of subsidiaries, including Pomerleau Capital, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  2. Monitor compliance responsibilities of the US subsidiary, Borea USA, ensuring obligations are met.
  3. Coordinate and follow up on tax and DAS audits.
  4. Provide technical support to project teams and service departments regarding sales tax rules.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including participating in tax compliance for all subsidiaries.
  6. Participate in process improvement projects across departments.
  7. Analyze changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance of practices.
  8. Perform financial analyses as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation.
  • 5 to 10 years of accounting experience.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
