Job summary

The Mason Group - Strategic Search Partners is seeking a Controller for a growing client in the CPG/manufacturing sector. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Controller will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance across the group.

You will partner with senior leadership to drive efficiency, improve processes, strengthen internal controls, manage cash flow, and provide strategic financial insights to support growth.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation with 8+ years in accounting/finance, including 3+ years in public practice.
• Experience in CPG or manufacturing industries.
• Audit/public accounting background preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for creative business solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

Our client is hiring a Controller as part of their growing team.

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Controller oversees all financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance for the group of companies. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial results, manages cash flow and internal controls, and supports strategic decision-making through strong financial insight. The Controller partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, implement process improvements, and uphold financial discipline across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

• CPA, CA designation with 8+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with 3+ years in public practice
• Must have CPG or manufacturing industry experience
• Audit and/or public accounting background is preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills to develop creative solutions to business issues or opportunities
• Must have strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, & initiative to drive improvement efforts
