Job description

Liburdi Turbine Services provides mechanical and metallurgical engineering services specifically tailored for the gas turbine industry. This allows us to perform an independent analysis of problems and, where required, to modify or redesign components. Our expertise lies in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress analysis, metallurgy, and mechanical design as they apply to aircraft and land-based gas turbines. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Control Systems Software Developer. This role reports to the LAWS Software Manager. Liburdi Turbine Services offers competitive wages. The typical working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
  • Work directly with customers to define requirements, train, and support end users.
  • Communicate ideas effectively with other developers during planning sessions and code reviews.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions from start to finish.
  • Assist in maintaining, supporting, and updating existing codebases.
  • Research and learn new technology and tools in software development on an ongoing basis.
Key Skill Requirements:
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Experience / Education:
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET, C#, C++, XML required.
  • Experience with PLC programming is an asset.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL, OpenCV (Emgu), OpenTK, or similar libraries is an asset.
  • Knowledge of 3D geometry, linear algebra, numerical methods, and algorithms is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Omron Delta Tau products is an asset.
  • Familiarity with welding processes is an asset.
  • Experience with robotic arms and/or gantry systems is an asset.
