Job Description:

The Manager, Control & Business Insight Specialist within Enterprise Stress Testing, Treasury and Balance Sheet Management, will use models to forecast Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) and the balance sheet for the wholesale banking segment, including trading and non-trading businesses like Corporate and Investment Banking. These models support stress testing for capital planning and assessment.

Stress testing is vital for risk management, helping TD withstand market stress and ensure service continuity. The role involves participating in enterprise-wide stress testing programs such as EWST, DFAST, MST, and others.

This position requires financial analysis skills, control experience, and knowledge of wholesale banking. Collaboration with various partners across the bank is essential.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Establish ad-hoc stress testing processes to manage emerging risks.
  • Develop estimation approaches for stress testing programs using existing models.
  • Analyze results, assess reasonability, and prepare presentation materials.
  • Familiarity with model suites and support during stress testing cycles.
  • Maintain control procedures and oversee their execution.
  • Lead or support projects to investigate issues and improve processes.
  • Seek continuous improvement and automation.
  • Support governance activities as needed.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Strong communication skills for complex financial issues.
  • Background in accounting or finance, with ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Experience in financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and controls.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Curiosity and analytical skills for new concepts.
  • Working knowledge of SAS and/or Python.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Experience supporting wholesale businesses and understanding of wholesale products/processes.
  • Knowledge of wholesale stress testing is an asset.
  • Teamwork, training ability, and fostering positive environment.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
