Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in managing complex contracts.
• Strong background in contract management with stakeholder influence.
• SCMP, IACCM, or PMP certification (partial or complete) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily contract activities including changes, claims, and payments.
• Support contract planning by reviewing RFx and draft contracts.
• Guide project teams to align contract execution with goals.

MatchBox Consulting is on the hunt for a contract professional to work out of Vernon, Prince George or Burnaby BC, in a hybrid work model.

Contract duration: 2 years

Requirements

• Education: Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in managing complex contracts.
• Expertise: Strong background in contract management with ability to influence stakeholders, mitigate risks, and optimize costs.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and project management skills; proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration: Manage daily contract activities including scope, changes, claims, payments, deliverables, and close-outs.
• Pre-Award Involvement: Support early-stage contract planning by reviewing strategies, scopes, RFx, and draft contracts.
• Project Team Leadership: Guide and collaborate with project teams to align contract execution with project goals.
• Budget Oversight: Develop and manage contract and resource budgets to ensure cost control and value delivery.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on contract performance, providing insights on financial and operational metrics.

Nice to Haves

• SCMP, IACCM, or PMP certification (partial or complete).
• Experience in public sector, Crown corporations, or the utility industry.
• Technical background in engineering/design.
