Contracts & Compensation Specialist (12 Month Contract)

Description:

Temporary Full Time

This position reports to the Assistant Manager CL Direct Contracting and is suited for an individual with strong attention to detail, motivation, and analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Contracts & Compensation Specialist (CCS) will handle onboarding, administration of contracting & licensing events, assist with administrative tasks, and input data into various compensation systems. The role acts as a facilitator between advisors, management, business partners, regulatory boards, and securities commissions. The successful candidate will learn and apply rules, processes, and legal requirements from governing boards across provinces to various scenarios, ensuring compliance from both legal and systems perspectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze eligibility and process contract applications for Advisors, including updates and transfers across systems.
  • Manage new contract files and ensure timely licensing.
  • Review applications, issue or terminate licenses in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Develop relationships with Insurance Councils and Securities Commissions, and internal partners.
  • Support contract requirements, licensing, and E&O queries for business partners.
  • Maintain detailed system records of contractual arrangements using Onbase.
  • Update licensing info across multiple systems (e.g., Rep/Org database, National Registration Database).
  • Collaborate with teams across departments to support request transitions.
  • Handle complex issues and provide administrative or project support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; adaptable to new systems.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (French/English) skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of advisor contracts and provincial licensing is an asset.
  • Comfort with hybrid work arrangements (remote and on-site).

Compensation:

The salary range is $42,500 - $63,800 annually, exclusive of variable components like bonuses or commissions. Further details will be discussed if selected for the next recruitment stages.
