Overview

Kiewit's Contract Administration Engineers are responsible for supporting the administration of construction contracts from project award through closeout. You will work closely with project management, estimating, legal, and procurement teams to ensure contract compliance, track deliverables, and mitigate risks. This position requires someone comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, who is committed to delivering high-quality work on complex infrastructure projects.

District Overview

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is a full-service engineering, project management and construction provider operating across NorthAmerica. Our experience spans all aspects of the nuclear market from carbon-free, small modular reactors to Department of Energy science, environmental and nuclear security mission capabilities. With these broad capabilities, we operate in the power utility, renewable energy, industrial and infrastructure markets.

Location

The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON.

Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, and administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and company policies.
  • Maintain organized contract records, correspondence, amendments, and change orders.
  • Assist in negotiating contract modifications, claims, and dispute resolutions in coordination with project leadership and legal counsel.
  • Track key contractual milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on contract requirements, risks, and obligations.
  • Support the preparation and review of subcontract agreements and purchase orders to align with prime contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with the estimating and engineering teams during pre-bid and pre-award phases to identify contractual risks and requirements.
  • Assist with contract closeout, including final documentation, releases, and compliance certifications.
  • Prepare and maintain contract-related reports for project management and corporate leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in heavy civil, nuclear or industrial construction.
  • Knowledge of contract law, construction practices, and risk management principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management or contract management software preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
