Position Scope

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Contracts Administrator to join our team in the manufacturing sector, specializing in food processing equipment. This role will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements to support our engineering, sales, and project delivery teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong contract management skills and an understanding of capital equipment and supply chain dynamics within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze customer and supplier contracts, including Master Supply Agreements, Equipment Purchase Orders, Installation Agreements, and NDAs
  • Draft and redline contract terms to protect the company’s commercial and legal interests
  • Negotiate contract language with customers and vendors in coordination with the legal and leadership team
  • Evaluate risks related to warranty, indemnity, liability, delivery terms, tariffs, and penalties, and propose risk mitigation solutions
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure contract terms align with operational realities and timelines
  • Support structuring and administration of Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and other financial security instruments to ensure alignment with contractual obligations
  • Manage contract lifecycle tracking, including renewals, amendments, and key milestones
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation in a centralized system and ensure internal compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Support internal stakeholders with contract interpretation and process training as needed
  • Stay current with industry regulations, especially those affecting food safety, machinery compliance, and cross-border trade (e.g., Incoterms, tariffs)

Qualifications & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field (Paralegal certification or legal training preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in contracts administration or legal / commercial roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with capital equipment sales, supply contracts, and international trade terms
  • Strong working knowledge of legal terms, risk allocation, and negotiation strategies
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools (e.g., DocuSign, SharePoint, ERP systems)
