A leading construction company in Ontario is seeking a Contracts Administrator to assist the Regional VP with daily contracts administration. The role involves reviewing and drafting contracts, maintaining contract documents, and supporting project management. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of relevant experience and proficiency in Excel. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Contracts Administrative or Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.

Job description

Reporting to the Regional VP, Western ON, the Contracts Administrator will assist the VP/Regional Directors with the daily administration of tenders and contracts, including but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing contracts and preparing for contract execution
  • Drafting subcontracts
  • Maintaining contract documents and files, working under contract, and preparing forecasts
  • Ordering bonds and insurance
  • Preparing project start-up and close-out documents and files
  • Maintaining estimating and contract databases
  • Performing other administrative duties as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Contracts Administrative or Accounts Payable role
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset
  • Experience with JD Edwards is an asset
  • Results-driven with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Outcome-focused, critical thinker with analytical skills to ensure continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect and interact with others
  • Effective prioritization and management of multiple priorities
  • Versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges
