Job summary

Nutrien is a leading provider of crop inputs and services, driving a global network of production, distribution, and ag retail facilities. We seek an experienced senior sourcing professional to support category management, contracts, and supplier selection in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

You will partner with Category Managers, manage sourcing events, and leverage tools like SAP/Oracle and Ariba to optimize spend and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar.
• 6+ years relevant experience in complex contracting supporting category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management or equivalent.
• Analytical abilities and experience using quantitative insights to make decisions and influence stakeholders.
• Clear and solid understanding of, and practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), spend management tools (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports), data management tools and source-to-pay systems (eProcurement).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage competitive sourcing events, build and negotiate contracts across multiple categories, technical categories and complex categories.
• Lead a mix of global and regional sourcing events, often with competing priorities and challenging timelines.
• Strong risk management and T&C skills with adequate commercial acumen to find creative and innovation alternatives and strategies.
• Expertise in contract formation and negotiation that would also include commercial aspects (should cost modeling, supplier market analysis, KPI’s).
• Lead stakeholder management in partnership with the corresponding Category manager.
• Lead the RFP evaluation and supplier selection.
