Job summary

McKesson is hiring an Operations Supervisor for a 1-year contract at the Edmonton Distribution Centre, located at 10931 177th Street, Edmonton, AB. The shift is Sunday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm, reporting to the Distribution Centre Director of Operations.

The role ensures efficient verification, processing and delivery of products, oversees maintenance, inventory controls, and compliance with Health Canada regulations, SOPs, and GMPs. Ability to lead staff and drive improvements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or regulated distribution environments.
• Experience with employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Strong organization and tactical planning skills.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Ability to take initiative, strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency.
• Demonstrated change management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are efficiently verified, processed and delivered to customers.
• Maintain vehicles, machinery, buildings and property with preventative maintenance.
• Monitor daily inventory and shorts to inventory for accuracy.
• Ensure Distribution Centre security standards and SOPs are followed.
• Coordinate with Quality Site Specialist to ensure GMPs are adhered to.
• Ensure OH&S guidelines are followed within the workplace.
• Analyze procedures to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Plan staff activities and assess performance to improve productivity.
• Assign responsibilities and authorize actions to staff as needed.
• Communicate company progress and direction to distribution centre staff.
