Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and ensures preventive maintenance of vehicles, machinery, buildings, and property.
  • Monitors inventory and daily shorts to inventory for accuracy.
  • Ensures distribution centre security standards are followed.
  • Ensures GMP and Health Canada regulations are adhered to.
  • Coordinate with Quality Site Specialist to ensure GMP adherence.
  • Ensures OH&S guidelines are followed within the workplace.
  • Analyzes procedures and schedules to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Defines and assigns responsibilities to staff to maximize productivity.
  • Administers policies related to employee relations with DC and HR.
  • Communicates company progress and direction to DC employees.
  • Plans activities of staff and assesses results for performance improvement.
  • Determines human resources needed and delegates responsibilities.
  • Directs activities and coordinates with other groups and departments.
  • Trains employees and evaluates performance.
  • Protects company income and assets against loss and waste.
  • Ensures adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.

Afternoon Shift: Sunday - Thursday. 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring optimum performance of warehouse shift(s) operations under the direction of the Distribution Centre Director of Operations.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures products are efficiently verified, processed and delivered to customers.
  • Ensures vehicles, machinery, buildings and property are maintained and preventative maintenance is conducted.
  • Controls inventory: monitors the daily shorts to inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensures that Distribution Centre security standards are being followed.
  • Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained and enforced as per Health Canada regulations.
  • Coordinate with Quality Site Specialist to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to.
  • Ensures Occupational Health and Safety guideline and regulations are followed within the workplace.
  • Analyzes operating and delivery procedures, systems and schedules and all other distribution centre activities to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost savings. Recommends changes to the Distribution Manager. May implement approved changes.
  • Ensures responsibilities are defined and assigned to employees so as to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Administers policies and practices related to employee relations in conjunction with the Distribution Centre and Human Resources.
  • Communicates the company’s progress and general direction to distribution centre employees.
Section B – General Responsibilities
  • Plans the activities of his/her staff; assesses results and takes appropriate measure to improve performance.
  • Determines the human resources required carrying out work; delegating responsibilities and appropriate authority to his/her staff; recommends structural changes when necessary.
  • Directs activities of staff and coordinates with other group and departments.
  • Trains employees (may include SOP’s); evaluates their performance; encourages and assists them with their development.
  • Protects income and assets of the company against loss and waste.
  • Ensures that company policies are respected.
  • Maintains appropriate communications with all levels of the organization.
  • Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Standards and regulations implemented by Health Canada.
Section C – Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated distribution environments.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experiencing managing operational KPI’s and performance metrics.
  • Ability to take initiative, strong work ethic, behave with a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication and analytical skills (Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs.

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$77,700 - $129,500
