Responsibilities:
  • Be part of the core RMAS team, for support to business aircraft of which the primary tasks are to conduct aircraft safety and/or system safety activities, and to support design change activities.
  • Be responsible for RMAS deliverables specific to the assigned systems.
  • Support activities and be an active member of the RMAS Knowledge Domain and its activities.
  • Participate in the system functional hazard analysis, aircraft and system fault tree analysis, system safety assessment, failure mode and effect analysis and the RMAS certification reports.
  • The duties may include certification activities on major derivatives and/or new platforms which would involve co-ordination of technical issues and resolutions across all Bombardier, Partner/Supplier, Regulatory and Customer parties.
  • The duties may also include support to strategic technologies for RMAS guidance and analysis.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You are a university graduate in electrical/mechanical engineering with at least 10 years RMAS experience.
  • You have a strong electro-mechanical background and an excellent understanding of aircraft performance characteristics, aircraft systems definition, integration, interfaces, component qualification, reliability and safety requirements and certification process of flight controls systems.
  • You preferably have been directly involved in the aircraft definition and certification.
  • You must be very cognizant of the relevant Airworthiness Regulations and certification process.
  • You have the ability to communicate sound technical proposals and work status to senior management, be a team player, a self-motivated person and be able to work under pressure.
  • You possess a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
  • You have good oral and technical writing skills in English (French is an asset).
  • You possess basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • You have knowledge of creating Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Fault Tree and Safety Analysis (required).
