Job summary

The University of Ottawa invites applications for a temporary Financial Planning and Reporting specialist. You will provide expert advice to management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses to support short-, medium-, and long-term decisions.

Reporting to the Administration Office, you will design dashboards and costing models, oversee the budgeting process, ensure policy compliance, and assist audits. 35 hours/week, Main Campus, SSUO Grade 11, CAD 95,594–120,750.

Qualifications

  • University degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
  • Minimum seven years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Professional accounting accreditation an asset.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Bilingual English and French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates complex financial studies and analyses to guide budgeting for short, medium and long term.
  • Creates complex financial reports and dashboards to support decision making.
  • Provides expert advice on financial operations and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees budgeting processes and ensures funds are available and compliant with policies.
