Petroplan seeks a Project Controller to support a major turnaround and outage program in Lloydminster. You will track real-time costs, forecast final costs, and integrate SAP actuals with labour, equipment and material data to keep budgets accurate. You’ll validate contractor costs, monitor spend trends, and report progress to stakeholders.
The role requires strong Excel and SAP skills, experience with outages, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Project Controller supports the Project Manager throughout turnaround and major outage activities by providing real-time cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis. This role is responsible for maintaining and updating an Excel-based cost control model that integrates SAP actuals, contractor Labor, Equipment and Material (LEM) data, and schedule progress to accurately track costs against budget and forecast final project costs.
The successful candidate will validate contractor costs, monitor spending trends, track workforce performance, and align cost reporting with schedule progress. The Project Controller plays a key role in identifying cost risks, supporting decision-making, and ensuring effective financial management throughout the outage lifecycle.
Turnaround & Major Outage Program will be executing major outage and turnaround activities in 2027 and 2028. We are currently building the project team to support planning, execution, and closeout activities.
