Contract Professional

• Pay Rate : $68.00 / hour, depending on experience
• Contract Length : 1 Year

Raise is currently hiring two (2) Contract Professionals on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Note : The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

As a Contract Professional in this role, you will be a key contributor to the Supply Chain organization, responsible for the post-award management of complex contracts. You will leverage your expert knowledge of contract management practices and public sector procurement law to ensure contractual obligations are met, minimize risk, and maximize supplier performance. This role requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve the best value for the organization.

Responsibilities

1. Perform contract management activities by applying expert knowledge of contract management practices while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
2. Ensure that suppliers fulfill their contractual obligations by monitoring contract performance, identifying issues, taking timely action to resolve issues, and communicating with stakeholders to minimize risk and maximize supplier performance.
3. Establish and maintain meaningful relationships between suppliers, stakeholders, and the organization’s supply chain team through activities such as timely communication, resolution of issues, and relevant reporting to enable successful sourcing initiatives.
4. Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage to ensure compliance with the organization’s contract and finance control policies and budget requirements.
5. Provide guidance and advice to client groups in sourcing, procurement, and management of goods and services contracts using expert knowledge of public sector procurement law and supply chain concepts to get the best value.

Qualifications

1. 12 years of progressive work experience in contract management, with a strong emphasis on post-award contract experience.
2. Previous experience managing equipment supply contracts is preferred.
3. Proven ability to manage complex contracts from a post-award perspective, ensuring compliance and performance.
4. Solid understanding of public sector procurement law and its application.
5. Education and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or related discipline, or equivalent. Certificate in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent is an asset.
6. Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
7. Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken.

Additional Information

1. Candidates in this role will be working a hybrid schedule, with at least 2 days working in the office.
2. Every contractor must supply their own Windows 10 or 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
3. Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the organization’s network.
