Responsibilities
- Review, edit and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Conduct contractual review of construction contracts for customers and suppliers
- Conduct contractual negotiations with customers and suppliers
- Manage litigation files
- Review and edit credit applications
- Manage contractual deadlines and notice requirements and contractual requirements
- Coordinating with outside counsel through the General Counsel
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to manage high volume of workload
- Enhance knowledge in the specialty area of Construction Law
Technical Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree; licensed to practice law in New Brunswick or willing to do get licensed here within a short time period
- Minimum of 4 years of post-call experience preferably in commercial law
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (., CCDC, AIA, bespoke agreements
- Experience within construction law would be considered a strong asset
