Are you a passionate and experienced performing artist with a talent for teaching? The City of Port Coquitlam is seeking contract instructors to join our dynamic Arts & Culture team in delivering high-quality, engaging programs for our community.

We are currently accepting applications from music and dance instructors interested in teaching classes at our recreation facilities.

Opportunities Available:

- Guitar and/or Ukulele Instructors – Beginner to Intermediate Levels, Children, Youth &
Adults
- Choral Instructors – To develop a children’s choir
- Dance instructors – All styles welcomed (e.g., hip hop, ballet, contemporary, cultural dance, etc.) for a range of age groups and skill levels.

Responsibilities:

- Create inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Work with diverse age groups and learning abilities
- Strong ability to manage a class

Qualifications:

- A strong background in your discipline with demonstrated teaching experience.
References required.
- A passion for community-based arts education
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups in a group setting
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours (evenings and/or weekends may be required)
- Successfully complete a Personal Records Check
