Job summary

First Onsite Restoration in Canada is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to strengthen our safety program on projects. You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, provide training, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in health and safety, a related degree, strong communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and willingness to travel 75%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in progressive health and safety or related positions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• University Degree or College diploma in Health and Safety, Business, or related field is an asset.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's driving record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and create risk management plans.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on health and safety issues.
• Ensure workplace compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Review and update the health and safety program regularly.
• Identify hazards and mitigate risks to maintain a safe work environment.
