About this opportunity:

The Process Data Information Management & Measurement team has a challenging opportunity available for an FDC Support Business Analyst for the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil business. This role provides day-to-day business support for the Field Data Capture space, including application configuration, master data modeling, data quality & integration troubleshooting, and end-user support. The position works collaboratively with colleagues in Measurement, Operations, Operations Accounting, and other teams as part of an FDC Support Team. It requires understanding of the business to assist end users in maximizing system benefits. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide business support for the Field Data Capture function related to production data requirements, application configuration, and data use for the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil assets.
  2. Ensure data integrity by working with stakeholders to maintain data quality standards.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and reporting issues.
  4. Manage complex and critical issues, developing innovative solutions.
  5. Optimize use of Field Data Capture applications (CGI-PM Suite, Energy Components, Intricate FFVS) for accurate information.
  6. Maintain master file data to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy, collaborating with Measurement, Operations, Engineering, and Operations Accounting.
  7. Facilitate data analysis for decision-making, reporting, and system use.
  8. Coordinate with stakeholders to manage production data requirements efficiently (Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Environmental teams, etc.).
  9. Work with Data & IT resources to support technical needs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 10 years of upstream oil and gas production experience.
  • Relevant post-secondary education; technical diploma/degree and/or CAPPA certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills across disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Business acumen with strategic understanding of processes.
  • Expertise in Field Operations and Upstream Accounting applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MS Office (Visio, Excel).
  • Experience with Field Data Capture applications like CGI PM Suite is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Oracle-based web applications is an asset.
  • Commitment to client values and continuous improvement culture.
