Do you LOVE social media? Are you the kind of person who sees a sunset and thinks, “I need to shoot that”? Do you scroll TikTok and instantly get ideas for how to put your own spin on a trend? Are you confident in front of a camera and behind it? If you’re highly organized, creatively driven, and love turning ideas into content, we want to see what you’ve got.

Creative Era Media is seeking passionate, freelance content creators to collaborate with our team on a project-to-project basis. We work with a wide range of local businesses in Calgary and across North America — from local lifestyle brands to growing cannabis companies and more — and we’re always on the lookout for creators who are eager to make magic with their camera.

This is a flexible, contract-based role. It’s perfect for students, freelancers, or creators looking to build their portfolio or earn extra income. There is potential for increased hours and deeper collaboration as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Creating short-form video and photo content for social media (primarily Reels and photos for Instagram)
• Capturing on-location footage around Calgary and nearby areas
• Editing your own content and meeting collaborative deadlines
• Contributing to creative ideation based on current trends and client goals
• Occasionally appearing on-camera for brand-related content

Requirements:

• Must be 18+ and based in Calgary or surrounding area
• Own transportation is required
• Must own camera/gear (microphone strongly preferred)
• Confident editing your own work with quick turnaround times
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Slack, Asana, Notion, or Google Drive
