Job summary

Domtar in Skookumchuck, BC is seeking a part-time Contract Buyer to source and procure supplies, services and other goods for mill operations, ensuring alignment with internal standards.

You will review supplier proposals, advise end users, and coordinate with vendors to clarify needs and resolve issues, while staying current on new products and market terms.

This temporary role offers opportunities to contribute to procurement efficiency and cost controls within the PR01 department.

• Facilitates the sourcing of site materials and services by communicating business needs to vendors / service providers and clarifying vendor issues to mill departments.
• Keeps up to date with new products, equipment and suppliers in order to recommend improvements in the quality, terms, delivery schedules of materials and services purchased.
