Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a short-term contract in Canada. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Node.js, with REST and GraphQL APIs, and serverless/edge architectures.

You will contribute to automated testing, CI/CD, SSR workflows, and AI-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with testing strategies, SSR environments, and Kontent.ai, and familiarity with AI prompt engineering

Qualifications

Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
Experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
Solid understanding of serverless and edge architectures.
Hands-on testing with unit, integration, and contract tests; CI/CD familiarity.
Familiarity with SSR frameworks and Kontent.ai.
Experience with AI integrations and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications.
Build and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs.
Develop and optimize serverless/edge-based solutions.
Implement automated testing strategies.
Support CI/CD pipelines for efficient development and deployment.
Work within SSR environments and integrate Kontent.ai.
