Insight Global is seeking a Contract Administrator to join one of Alberta’s leading utility companies on a 6-month hybrid contract, with a strong possibility of extension. The role involves supporting material vendors and construction execution teams by applying detailed, analytical contract preparation and administrative support.
Contract Administrator duties include:
- Work with the Project Team to gather, document, and prepare required construction information to build standardized contracts or statement of work documents from standard form contracts to fit project needs.
- Assist the Procurement Team in reviewing, preparing, and submitting pre-bid qualification criteria.
- Coordinate pre- and post-award bid reviews on contractual obligations.
- Evaluate bid packages ensuring a fair and transparent process involving the Project Team for bid evaluation.
- Document all bid evaluations and recommendations.
- Perform contract administration ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Work with the procurement team to create, initiate, develop, and manage bid proposals.
- Support proposal planning activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years experience in a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public procurement processes, competitive bidding laws, and contract law.
- Strong understanding of contract execution.
- Document control experience using an EDMS, ideally Oracle Aconnex.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work effectively between cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage contracts throughout a project's lifecycle, from inception to closeout.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, set project precedents, and work collaboratively.
- Strong proficiency with MS Suite, Oracle, and SharePoint.
