Job summary

Toronto Hydro is seeking a Contract Administration Analyst to lead financial and contractual transactions across capital, reactive, and maintenance programs. The role reports to the Manager, Project Execution and requires hybrid work with onsite Tuesday to Thursday in Ontario.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • PMP designation is an asset.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen with forecasting, budgeting and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and able to build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Leads financial and contractual administration activities from project inception to capitalization.
  • Administers the project closeout process ensuring transactions are allocated to projects.
  • Acts as RC Financial and contractual lead and liaison to stakeholder groups.
  • Develops event and probability forecasting for capital contributions and budgets.
  • Administers monthly reporting including progress accruals and variance analysis.
  • Collaborates with Program Management and Financial Analyst on project requirements.
  • Supports asset recognition and de-recognition close out process.
  • Investigates and reconciles demand billable for services and CWIP monthly.
  • Cross references material returns and credits to projects during close out.
  • Develops databases and processes for regulatory requirements and productivity.

Job description

Expected Salary Range: $90810 - $113512 Annually

The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.

Reporting to the Manager, Project Execution, the Contract Administration Analyst will lead the administration of internal/external driven financial and contractual transactions supporting all capital, reactive and maintenance, program delivery and budgetary attainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads financial and contractual administration activities accountable for managing transactions from project inception to capitalization on projects annually
  • Administers the project closeout process ensuring financial transactions are received and allocated to projects
  • Act as the RC Financial and contractual lead and liaison to stakeholder groups including Program Management, Finance, Accounts Receivable/payable, Legal and Standards & Policy.
  • Develops event and probability forecasting for capital contributions, capital and demand billable budgets in in alignment with delivery scheduling
  • Administers monthly reporting including project progress accruals, actual vs estimated variance analysis and allocation of expenditures
  • Works closely with Program Management Consultant and Financial Analyst on transactional project requirements, status reporting and event forecasting.
  • Support asset recognition and de-recognition close out process.
  • Responsible for investigation and reconciliation of ‘demand billable’ for temporary customer services and construction work in progress (CWIP) for capital projects to ensure funds have been received and allocated to the correct work order on a monthly basis.
  • Cross reference material returns and credit allocation to projects during project close out process.
  • Responsible for the development and improvement of databases and processes in support of project and regulatory requirements and ongoing productivity improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related field from an accredited University
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in project and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to solve problems independently
  • Detailed Oriented – ensures work is completed with minimal errors

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
