Alamos Gold Inc. is looking for a Continuous Improvement Assistant to support data analysis, process improvement projects, and KPI monitoring at Island Gold in Dubreuilville, Ontario. You will work with Underground, Mill, Engineering, and Geology teams to drive productivity and site performance.

The role emphasizes Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies; site-based duties require strong Excel skills, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques, is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting team-based initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster cooperative working relationships.
• Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
• High energy, self-motivation, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and maintain information within the MOIS dashboard to support decision-making.
• Conduct time studies and gather data to validate variables impacting processes.
• Collaborate with Underground, Mill, Engineering, and Geology departments on improvement initiatives.
• Assist with planning and execution of continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen still and other methodologies.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of KPIs to measure operational effectiveness.
• Assist with Underground, Mill, Logistics, and Surface improvement projects.

• Pay or shift range: $47,250 CAD to $84,850 CAD. The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.

Role Overview

As Continuous Improvement Assistant, you will support the site's continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives by assisting with process improvement projects, data analysis, performance measurement, and operational excellence programs. Working closely with the Underground, Mill, Engineering, and Geology teams, you will contribute to initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall mine performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management: Perform data entry and maintain information within the Mine Operations Information System (MOIS) dashboard to support operational decision-making.
• Process Analysis: Conduct time studies and gather data to validate variables impacting operational processes and performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Underground, Mill, Engineering, and Geology departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Project Support: Assist with planning and execution of continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other improvement methodologies.
• Performance Measurement: Support the implementation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and progress toward site objectives.
• Operational Improvement: Assist with Underground, Mill, Logistics, and Surface improvement projects, ensuring alignment with site goals and operational excellence standards.

Working Conditions

• 5 days on / 2 days off schedule.
